Itinerary
. Gather with the group at Guwahati Airport or Railway station at 12:00 Noon. . Later we start your journey to Shillong which is famously know as The Scotland of the east . Reach Shillong and check in to hotel, enjoy some leisure time. . Later head out to explore the cafes and the local market of Shillong in the evening. . Overnight stay in the hotel.
**DAY 2: LAITLUM GRAND CANYON | SHILLONG TO CHERRAPUNJEE | GARDEN OF CAVES ** . Post breakfast, drive to Laitlum Grand Canyon. . Post lunch start drive towards Cherrapunji . En route visit the garden of caves and enjoy some breathtaking views of the Himalayas. . Visit several waterfalls that lie between Shillong and Cherrapunji. . Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
. Post breakfast, . Reach Tyrna & start your trek to the Single Root Bridge. . Head out to explore the marvellous Umshiang Double Decker living root bridge. . Return to Cherrapunji by evening. . Overnight stay in Cherrapunji. . Note: The trek to the Single and Double Decker Root Bridges is quite . challenging, with approximately 7,000 stairs in a round trip.
. Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel. . Explore Mawsmai Cave, Nohkalikai Waterfall, and the seven sisters' falls. . Later on, head to Dawki. . Reach Dawki by evening. Overnight camp stay in Dawki. . Note: Stay in Shnongpedeng will be in Alpine/Dome Tents with common washroom. These camps are situated in an area surrounded by stones, so please be prepared for a basic setup. You'll find only mattresses or sleeping bags provided for your stay. It's worth noting that these camps are located near the river, which can make the approach a bit challenging at times
**DAY 5: DAWKI | KRANG SURI WATERFALL | OVERNIGHT STAY AT SHILLONG ** . Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel. . Drive out for water sports activities and some relaxation. . Later on, head to Shillong. Reach Shillong in the evening. . Overnight stay in Shillong.
. Post breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive back to Guwahati. . Return home with tons of refreshing memories and in awe of the northeast.
